Membership in the Human Services Leadership Council of CNY includes the following benefits:

  • Continuous networking with peers – leaders of member agencies who share common issues, goals and needs – via e-mail, in-person and website.

  • Participation in all-member meetings (currently five per year) that feature current topics pertinent to members.  Networking time is built into the agenda of each meeting.

  • Invitations to training programs sponsored by the HSLC, member agencies and supporters.

  • Access to a “members-only” web hub that provides information on collaboration opportunities, training offerings in the community, events calendar, links to resources, and forums for members to collaborate and exchange ideas.

  • Opportunities for member agencies to join affinity groups (such as finance, human resources, early childhood education and board development) to exchange best practices and ideas for shared solutions.

  • Advocacy and community awareness on behalf of the human services sector, our employees and the people we serve with local business and government entities in CNY.

  • Coordinate member agencies to assist with large grant applications to increase competitive advantage and resulting funding coming to CNY.

  • Enhance the visibility and ‘presence’ of human services in the media and among the general public.

  • Facilitate collaboration and shared services to reduce both duplication of effort and overhead costs.

  • Automatic membership in the New York Council of Non Profits (NYCON).
